[Hot Topic] AI demand drives simultaneous rise in PCB prices and volumes; multiple stocks hit the daily limit-up.

On the morning of October 8, PCB-related stocks saw renewed activity. Shiming Technology (300522.SZ) and Dongcai Technology (601208.SH) hit the daily limit-up, while Tongyu New Materials (301630.SZ) and Chenghe Technology (688625.SH) rose by more than 10%; Fangbang Electronics (688020.SH), Nanya New Materials (688519.SH), and Shengquan Group (605589.SH) also posted gains.

In terms of market news, Kingboard Laminates (01888.HK) has issued multiple price hike notices for copper-clad laminates (CCL) this year, and Nan Ya Plastics has raised product prices since September; the impact of these price increases is fully propagating downstream.

A research report by Sinolink Securities indicates that robust demand for AI is driving up both the prices and volumes of PCBs. Many AI-PCB companies are reporting strong orders, operating at full capacity with sales matching output, and aggressively expanding production. Meanwhile, overseas CCL manufacturers are expanding capacity slowly, suggesting that the trend of shortages and rising prices is likely to persist.
